Israel Claims Air Supremacy Over Tehran
According to an Israeli broadcaster, the military was hitting numerous sites in central Iran, though no additional specifics were provided.
A defense communiqué indicated that several lorries purportedly transporting armaments, including surface to air missile launchers, were struck while en route to Tehran from western Iran beginning early Monday.
“We struck the trucks, neutralizing the weapons and launchers,” the army said.
Tensions in the region have intensified since Friday, when Israel carried out synchronized air raids against various locations throughout Iran—including military and atomic installations—triggering Tehran to respond with counterstrikes.
Israeli officials reported that no fewer than 24 individuals were killed and hundreds more wounded during Iranian rocket barrages since Friday.
Iran, on the other hand, declared that no fewer than 224 persons lost their lives and more than 1,000 others were hurt in the Israeli offensive.
