Israel Reports Nearly Five Thousand Injured Amid War with Iran

(MENAFN) Israel’s Health Ministry reported on Tuesday that 4,829 individuals have been taken to hospitals since the outbreak of hostilities with Iran, with 111 patients still receiving treatment.

Of those hospitalized, 12 are in serious condition, 21 are classified as moderate, and 78 have sustained mild injuries, according to a statement shared on the social media platform X.

The regional conflict has intensified since the joint US-Israeli offensive against Iran began on February 28, resulting in more than 1,340 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel as well as neighboring countries such as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets. These retaliatory strikes have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted both global markets and aviation operations.
